Dr. Shobha Shakamuri

Dr. Shobha Shakamuri, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist with over 40 years of experience specializing in comprehensive kidney care. Since 1985, she has been dedicated to serving the Longview, Texas community, offering expert diagnosis and treatment for chronic kidney disease, dialysis management, kidney transplants, and other complex nephrology conditions.
Dr. Shakamuri completed her Nephrology Fellowship at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in New Jersey, where she also participated in medical education and advanced patient care. She established East Texas Kidney Specialists in 2000, where she continues to lead with a patient-centered approach.
As Medical Director for multiple dialysis centers across East Texas, Dr. Shakamuri has pioneered advancements like high-flux dialysis, plasma exchange, and the Fistula First initiative to improve patient outcomes.
Committed to innovation and community education, Dr. Shakamuri remains at the forefront of kidney care, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of treatment.
Dr. Venkatesh Reddy

Born and raised in India, Dr. Venkatesh Reddy grew up in an environment that fostered a deep appreciation for healthcare. He completed his residency and nephrology fellowship from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. His fascination with nephrology took root as he witnessed the profound impact that kidney specialists could have on patients’ lives.
Dr. Reddy embarked on his professional journey at East Texas Kidney Specialists in 2002, where his compassionate bedside manner won over the hearts of his patients. Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Reddy’s vast knowledge and expertise allows him to deliver positive outcomes in the healthcare industry.
Outside of his professional career, some of Dr. Reddy’s most proud achievements have included moving his family to Longview where he and his wife raised two wonderful daughters who have now married and recently made him a grandfather.
Dr. Glenn McDonald

Born and raised in Longview, Texas, Dr. Glenn McDonald is a proud Texan at heart. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. McDonald is a seasoned nephrologist who has 20+ years in practice. He is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in our community. Dr. McDonald is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Beyond his work at East Texas Kidney Specialists, he is the founder and president of The Grace Clinic in Longview, Texas, an establishment that renders healthcare services to individuals in our community that are experiencing homelessness or financial difficulties. He partners with other local physicians and UT Longview nursing students to offer medical care to those in need.
Dr. Snehal Shrivastava

Born and raised in India, Dr. Snehal Shrivastava graduated from medical school in 1999. After graduation, she moved to the United States and attended several studies including residency, fellowship and trainings. Dr. Shrivastava’s expansive medical career experience ranges from speech-language pathology to nephrology. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Shrivastava is no stranger to hard work and enjoys having a varied list of activities to keep her busy. She serves as medical director for several dialysis centers and enjoys serving in leadership roles where she feels she can make a difference.
Outside of caring for patients, you can often find her on the sidelines of the tennis courts cheering on her children as they compete, or volunteering in our community.
Dr. Chinmay Patel

Dr. Chinmay Patel completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2011 at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a Nephrology fellowship in New York. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology and has more than a decade of experience caring for patients with complex kidney disorders.
Dr. Patel has a strong academic and research background, having authored and co-authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications in nephrology and internal medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Medical Case Reports. He also contributes to BMJ Best Practice and has been recognized for his contributions to medical education and patient care, including the Volunteer Medical Faculty Member of the Year Award and recognition as a Top Nephrologist in Pikeville.
In January 2021, Dr. Patel joined East Texas Kidney Specialists in Longview, Texas, bringing his clinical and academic experience to the East Texas community. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while educating patients about their kidney health.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Patel and his wife enjoy raising their two children in East Texas. He enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring the local community, and supporting small businesses.

Holly Etheredge, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in healthcare. Born and raised in East Texas, Holly earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. She began her career as a nurse practitioner in the hospitalist setting, where she quickly discovered a deep passion for nephrology. Holly is known for her compassionate approach and clinical expertise in managing complex and acute patient conditions, and she brings a calm, confident presence to every patient interaction.
Currently residing in Beckville, Texas, with her husband and four children, Holly enjoys spending her free time outdoors and traveling with her family. She believes that her faith in God is the foundation of her mission in healthcare, guiding her commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Whether she is advocating for patients at the bedside or helping families navigate difficult health decisions, Holly is dedicated to serving her community with grace, integrity, and excellence.
Lauren Stanton

Lauren Stanton is a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with over six years of clinical experience, currently specializing in nephrology. A Baton Rouge native, she earned her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana Tech University and completed her Physician Assistant training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She chose a career in medicine because of her deep-rooted desire to help others and make a tangible difference in people’s lives. She believes in providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is guided both personally and professionally by her faith in God. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and child.

Elizabeth Garcia, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a bilingual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from East Texas Baptist University and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.
With over fifteen years of healthcare experience, she prioritizes delivering evidence-based care with kindness, attentiveness, and respect. As an East Texas native, she is committed to serving her community and building lasting patient relationships. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, patient education, and collaborative care planning tailored to each individual’s healthcare needs and goals.
Outside of work, she values spending time with her children and is actively involved in her church. Her commitment to serving others is at the heart of both her practice and her community life.
